Paolo Soleri died Tuesday morning at the age of 93.
He was an artist and an architect known for his critical views on urban sprawl and the development of Arcosanti, an experimental sustainable community in Arizona. He moved to the US to work for Frank Lloyd Wright at Taliesin West in 1946.
His entire life was dedicated to his dream the ideal sustainable city and to promote the concept of "Arcology".(Archcitecture+Ecology).
